Austria is a country in Central Europe bordered by Germany, the Czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Austria consists of the Austrian Alps (around 60% of Austrias area), the Carpathians, the low country and the granite plateau in the north and the Austrian part of the Vienna basin. Most of Austria has a cool/temperate climate. Though Austria is cold in winter, summer temperatures can be relatively warm.
